Due to a considerable amount of growth, we are seeking a Technical Trainer to support their blue / white collar workforce.
Your new role
The Technical Trainer is responsible for the provision of safe and effective design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of technical training and technical support services to the division and its customers.
Reporting to the Training Manager who is based in WA, this role will oversee a national responsibility to design, deliver, assess and evaluate technical training programs that address/satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
The role requires literacy and numeracy skills, customer service abilities, analytical skills, intermediate computer proficiency, and the capability to process and submit documents to the correct people. Additionally, it involves maintaining, repairing, and overhauling components of relevant products, troubleshooting and fault-finding equipment problems, interpreting technical documentation, drawings, and schematics, researching and compiling technical information, identifying and reporting new business opportunities, managing difficult customers, and engaging in self-development for both technical and behavioural competencies. The role also demands technical competencies associated with trade qualifications, determining customer needs and establishing service solutions and forecasts (such as conducting Training Needs Analysis), demonstrating presentation skills, designing and delivering skill-based and knowledge-based learning programs, designing and delivering competency-based assessments, and maintaining professional networking capabilities.
This role is ideally suited for a trainer who excels in both blue-collar and white-collar environments, as well as within a Technical Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The position demands a versatile professional capable of bridging the gap between hands-on technical expertise and sophisticated instructional methodologies, ensuring comprehensive training and development across diverse workforce segments.
This position is a 12-18 month contract with a salary of $110k + super. Please note, due to it being site based, there is limited opportunity to work from home.
