We offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical nurse to join our Community Continence Service as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. The Community Continence CNC and multidisciplinary team will support you to provide an advanced level of knowledge and clinical skills relating to continence, including assessment, information on treatment and management options, urinary catheter education and support. Your clinical experience, or the passion to develop specialist continence skills and knowledge, will support community clients with continence problems across clinics and home settings throughout southern Tasmania.
The Role:
In accordance with relevant Agency principles and policies, legal requirements and professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Community Continence conducts comprehensive assessments working with adults in the community setting who have bladder, bowel and/or pelvic floor dysfunction with a focus on incontinence.
Informed by the assessment data and resultant diagnosis, the CNS - Community Continence works collaboratively with individuals to develop treatment and management plans specific to the person's continence related needs.
You will need:
* Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills and experience in assessment, care planning and intervention relevant to continence related bladder, bowel and/or pelvic floor dysfunction.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including electronic, written and verbal, as well as the ability to plan and coordinate care in the community health care context.
* Proven ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Please note flexible rostering/hours are available for this position.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type.

* Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
* Current Driver’s Licence.
Desirable criteria:
* Holds, or working towards a relevant postgraduate qualification.
* Knowledge and advanced practice skills in continence care.
* Experience in the community care setting.
