The Service
At KU Bel Air, we aim to provide an inclusive, safe, stimulating and caring environment for children. Our environments serve as a special place for children to be children and enjoy their childhood through curiosity, exploration, creativity and imagination.
Our program offers children the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of learning experiences and activities, each specifically designed to promote children’s confidence as capable, active participants in their own learning. Children are presented with a range of activities including gardening, arts and crafts, music and movement, physical play, block building, sand and water play, science experiments, early numeracy activities such as counting and measurement, and early literacy activities such as reading, drawing and writing.
The Role
We are looking for an organised and outgoing administrator to provide a range of administrative duties vital to the efficient operations of the service on a part time, permanent basis. You will be the first point of contact for families managing enrolments, family accounts and the centre’s waiting list using the software XAP, some general accounting tasks, responding to email and phone queries’ and assisting the Director with a range of tasks including filing and record keeping.
The working hours are 6 hours per week and hours and day of work are negotiable and will be discussed with shortlisted applicants.
You will need:
1. A NSW Employee Working With Children Check (if appointed)
2. Excellent customer service skills
3. A collaborative team approach
4. Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
5. Ability to establish, maintain and enhance positive internal and external relationships
6. A positive and ‘can do’ attitude
7. Previous experience and / or a relevant qualification
8. Have proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
