Day to day you will support clients to live active and meaningful lives in their community, including taking residents to medical appointments, Gym and other social outings.In this role you will also complete all administration and reporting requirements and provide day-to-day home living supports such as assisting with meal preparation, domestic duties, medication administration and personal care needs.Working as part of a small collaborative team you will also work with managers and colleagues to establish processes to support with support strategies as required.Selection CriteriaTo be considered for the role you will be an experienced disability professional with a minimum 2 years’ experience. You will have worked in a similar role and have proven experience supporting persons with complex needs and challenging behaviours. This includes supporting clients on the autism spectrum. You will also:Have a working knowledge of Disability legislation & the NDIS;Have a demonstrated commitment to using person centred active support principles in all interactions;Be able to communicate in a clear, concise and friendly manner with a broad range of people involved in the residents care, such family & carers, staff, behavioural specialists & health care professionals;Be willing to undertake a range of day-to-day tasks including maintaining client records, assisting with meal preparation, domestic duties, administering medication and personal care;Have a full drivers licence with comprehensive insuranceHave completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module "Quality, Safety and You" module, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement;Mist have full Hoist training and Manual handling capabilitiesHave Current First Aid Certificate & CPR, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.Completed COVID 19 Infection Control TrainingA minimum of Certificate III in Disability Services or equivalent qualification (desirable);Other relevant certificates & professional development experience will be highly regarded;Have a cleared Worker Screening Check.To apply, please attach your CV and a brief cover letter outlining what attracts you to working at Hopesway Support Services and how you meet the selection criteria.If you have any questions about the role please contact us via email at info@hopesway.com.au
