Join Team Global Express as a Payroll Officer and ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for our 8,000 employees. This 12-month fixed term contract involves managing payroll administration, from data entry to tax compliance, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
You will process payroll, maintain employee records, manage weekly and monthly payrolls, and handle complex calculations. Additionally, you'll support Workday to Preceda workflows and assist with system administration. Your role includes responding to employee enquiries and collaborating with HR and Finance for accurate reporting and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulations.
Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and other changes, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Manage the end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls, including calculations for wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
Provide specialist support for Workday to Preceda workflows and assist with Preceda system administration.
Respond promptly to employee enquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax-related matters, providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with HR and Finance for accurate reporting and reconciliations.
Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employment laws.
Expertise in termination calculations, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, workers compensation, and long service leave.
Experience with Workday, Preceda, and Kronos, regarded highly.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and handle complex payroll scenarios.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex payroll issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with employees and stakeholders. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
