Job Title: General Practitioner – Port Douglas Practice Information:The practice was established over 20 years ago and is a locally reputable and very busy practice situated in the lovely Far North QLD town of Port Douglas located 5 minutes from the centre.The QPA accredited practice is purpose built with beautiful timber decks, that wind through tropical manicured gardens designed to give patients and those that work here the feeling of relaxation and ease.The practice is unique and staffed with long-term doctors that specialise in many areas of expertise and use both conventional and complimentary medicines which benefits the patients hugely in this lovely tropical community.The practice has GPs practicing in Japanese Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynae, Hypnotherapy, Nutrition, Gut Health & Allergies, Medicinal Cannabis, Skin Cancers & Minor Procedures.They are also very lucky to have a Nurse Practitioner/Midwife who supports the surgery extensively and a Medical Assistant that helps doctors and the nurse out with procedures, dressings, phlebotomy, observations, ECGs, spirometry, etc.Other staff consists of a Practice Manager who has supported the practice for 11 years and 2 long term receptionists that keep the day flowing nicely. Position Description:The practice is looking for a fully qualified GP who is accepting of the holistic approach and can bring good quality care to benefit their patients.The practice requires a GP who would be happy to work 4-5 days per week 9 am-5 pm (negotiable with days & hours). Qualifications & Experience: Long-term Vocationally Registered General Practitioner Job Type: Permanent – Full time Salary Information: 65% of earning or $150 per hour, whichever is higher. After Hours Requirements: The practice is only open Monday-Friday and no weekends or after-hours is required.
