To help keep Queensland moving, we are actively recruiting for an Environmental Officer with previous exposure to:
• Providing technical and specialist environmental advice regarding implementation of environmental assessments, legislation, compliance and management during all project phases.
• Undertaking environmental assessments, environmental management plans, contract specifications, audits and briefs to engage external resources.
• Exercising creativity and initiative in investigating, analysing and conceptualising possible options to meet design objectives.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to road infrastructure development activities in your jurisdiction.
• Identify possible problem areas and negotiate modifications or adaptions to design briefs, as necessary.
• Providing guidance on the scope and direction of project activities as well as being a key advisor to project management teams with regards to environmental issues.
A degree qualification from a tertiary institution in environmental science, environmental management, environmental planning, resource management, environmental engineering or other equivalent qualifications is a mandatory requirement of this role.
