The Event Facilitator alongside our City Events Team contributes to the evolution of Adelaide's cultural landscape. In this diverse role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate a broad range of Major events for the city’s iconic Park Lands, Squares and some roads.
You will also play a key role in supporting the Team Leader, City Events to implement and refine event guidelines and contribute to the development of strategic frameworks and action plans, to optimize event experiences across the City. In this highly dynamic role, you will foster relationships and provide expert advice to cultivate a city-wide, year-round program of events.
Some of the projects that you will be working on are:
* Events of State and National significance
* Major community events

To be successful in this role you will have:
* Experience in delivering a high standard of customer services to prominent community and business leaders, international and cultural groups, VIPs, committees and boards.
* A commitment to internal and external customers demonstrated through the provision of timely, reliable and expert advice on matters within area of responsibility.
* Ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with all levels of management and staff, government agencies, stakeholders, event service providers and the community, both verbally and in writing.
* Significant understanding of the procedures, processes, policies and legislation required to manage and facilitate a diverse range of major events.
* Understanding and significant experience in outdoor event management.
* Demonstrated ability to understand broad commercial realities and to quickly absorb and understand relevant information from reports as required.
* Understanding of a project life cycle, and ability to assist with strategies relating to projects and programs and ability to promote cross functional collaboration.
Please be advised this is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a starting salary at the Level 5 Classification at $91,537 + 11% superannuation.
