THE ROLE The Compliance Manager will support the Director, Enterprise & Portfolio Governance to provide strategic advice on obligation management and manage compliance-related attestation activities across Homes Victoria. Given the strategic importance of effective compliance management for the delivery of strategic programs and organisational effectiveness, this role will be an integral to boosting the organisation's compliance in line with risk management policies, organisational policies and procedures, applicable regulatory/legislative frameworks and broader cross-government policies. The Compliance Manager will work with internal stakeholders to ensure visibility and adherence to Homes Victoria's obligations through the provision of targeted compliance advice and evolve the compliance-related attestation activities as part of a cross-organisational lift in compliance awareness and capability. In addition to business-as-usual attestation compliance monitoring, the role will provide resolution oversight for matters arising from internal and external reviews, working closely with relevant business owners. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise & Portfolio Governance, the Compliance Manager will support uplift of the organisation-wide compliance capability through the deployment of the Homes Victoria compliance attestation program and management of the Homes Victoria compliance obligation register. This role will be pivotal for enhancing laying the foundations for the compliance management approach adopted across Homes Victoria and in line with the Department's and the broader Victorian government's compliance management frameworks. The Compliance Manager will be a focus point to build compliance capability, oversight enhancement of the compliance attestation program and work to continue to embed a strong compliance culture at Homes Victoria. You will work with senior Homes Victoria team members to provide compliance advice and support to lift compliance awareness and capability through the deployment of Homes Victoria's Compliance Management Framework. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Apply specialist knowledge for the implementation and maintenance of a compliance management framework in line with the strategic objectives of Homes Victoria, the compliance requirements of the Victorian Government and industry standards. Deploy the annual compliance attestation program, with a focus on the obligations set out under the Victorian Financial Management Act, leveraging an online Enterprise Risk Management System combined with stakeholder engagement.
