Maintenance Planner Water Treatment (---6615) Mackay, AustraliaSalary: AUD48.07 - AUD48.07 per hourMackay Regional Council is seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual that can work autonomously within a team environment to develop and improve planned maintenance schedules for Mackay Regional Council's water and wastewater assets.This position is a temporary job share arrangement Thursday and Friday until January 2026.Key Responsibilities:Monitor, review and implement Asset Management Systems for water and wastewater assets, including collecting and updating relevant asset data and work instructions.Plan and schedule maintenance activities for operations and management of water and wastewater assets using Council management systems.Provide technical guidance to Maintenance Officers, Team Leaders and other staff for generating and issuing Work Orders.Analyse data to determine the performance of water and wastewater assets. Modify maintenance schedules based on asset performance and work delivery and generate reports on asset performance and outstanding work orders.Undertake investigations related to fault/ failure history recorded in Council’s Maintenance Management Systems.Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:Experience developing and improving preventative maintenance programmes, including the planning and scheduling of long-range and short-range maintenance work activities.Qualifications in Engineering, Maintenance planning, relevant Trade Qualifications:Diploma (preferred); orLesser formal qualifications combined with relevant experience; orAttained, through previous appointments, service and/or study, an equivalent level of expertise and experience to undertake the range of activities required.General Safety Induction Construction Card.Why work for Mackay Regional Council?Mackay Regional Council offers a dynamic, progressive and financially sound local government, with responsibility for $3.5 billion worth of assets and employing almost 1200 dedicated staff in a vibrant, rapidly growing region where sugar, mining, beef, tourism and retail drive the economy.
