Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Kitchen Storeperson to oversee the receipt and verification of all goods delivered to the kitchen, ensuring strict quality control, proper stock rotation, and adherence to food safety standards. This role will also support the chefs in planning stock requirements for each service and assist with tracking and costing the stock used for each event.
THE ROLE!
Join our team as a full-time Kitchen Storeperson - help manage deliveries, ensure top-notch quality, and support the chefs at our award winning venue!
Key responsibilities of this role include:
* Receive and verify all kitchen goods against orders for accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with food safety requirements.
* Log all high-risk food items and monitor temperatures in accordance with procedures.
* Maintain fridges, freezers, and storerooms in a hygienically clean and well-organised condition.
* Maintain standard stock par levels, and ensure proper stock rotation in accordance with the food safety procedures.
* Organise stock according to function briefs for optimal efficiency.
* Allocate stock items to events using the electronic purchasing/stock system, monitoring and managing stock movements to establish optimal levels.
* Assist the Purchasing Coordinator with ordering, including coverage during absences and annual leave.
* Conduct monthly stocktakes of all food items and consumables
We are seeking reliable individuals who can work a variety of shifts throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
ABOUT YOU!
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
* Strong knowledge of food products, stock rotation, and correct storage to ensure freshness and safety.
* Well-versed in commercial kitchen processes and best practices.
* Enthusiastic, energetic, and a positive attitude.
* Ability to manage, prioritise, and delegate tasks efficiently.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work well unsupervised.
* Proficient in administration and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on accuracy in all tasks.
