About the RoleAs a Governance Lead in our Lending Transformation Team you'll play a key role in helping to ensure our initiatives remain well governed and meet both regulatory and commercial outcomes. The Governance Lead is accountable for supporting the Senior Project Manager and other Delivery Professionals within the Program. The Governance Lead supports the program with preparation, facilitation and of Governance forums, as well as the delivery of key risk artefacts for the Initiative.
Directed by the Senior Project Manager, you will work with project and risk stakeholders to identify, assess, monitor, and report on delivery risks/issues/dependencies, as well as ensuring all regulatory compliance requirements, including end to end controls, are met.
You own the RAID dashboard and provide updated view of all Program risks, issues, and dependencies. You review the RAID with the Program weekly and report high impact risks on PPM and generate risks/issues report for monthly governance forums (Initiative Delivery Group, Delivery Governance Authority).
Beyond the Program, you are the primary contact point and source of advice/guidance to senior Business and Risk stakeholders for specific Regulatory and Business Risk Reviews based on new platform features. You actively partner with them to influence timely closure and reporting of Regulatory items and controls. You facilitate workshops, progress meetings, and ensure Regulatory review remediation plans and responses are consistent and appropriate.

Actively manage the stakeholder matrix, engaging both within the Program team and external to Program. They include Commercial Business Governance and Assurance team, Non Financial Risk Lead and Senior Program LT as well as NFRA Enterprise Process/Tool owners.Provide updates to the NFR Lead and Commercial Business Governance and Assurance team on controls updates and coverage, providing reporting and gaps analysis. Additionally, you collaborate with the Program and ANZ regulatory stakeholders to ensure the Program receives positive regulatory findings.Ownership of the RAID dashboard, updating and tracking weekly treatment and updates with the Program team, enforcing the timely updates of risks, issues, and dependencies in JIRA/ Confluence, as well as other platforms utilised by the Initiative Teams.Provide platform risks/issues/controls effectiveness updates to the Commercial well-managed teams and work with them to document controls, report on treatment effective, and interface back to the Program team to address gaps.Support the review of Project deliverables and governance artefacts, including process documentation to ensure effective controls are embedded and reflected in risk systems.As risk and compliance is implicit in the role you must lead by example and demonstrate the highest risk and compliance standards and attitudes.What will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Prior experience in a Risk/governance role supporting a large Program and guided Program teams in defining, assessing, reporting, and monitoring delivery and OR&C risk.Strong understanding of the concept of risk appetites and collaborate with Program delivery team as well as first and second line risk and regulatory risk and assurance representatives.Demonstrated ability to conduct a Change Risk Materiality Assessment, Non-Financial Risk Assessments and ensuring appropriate consultation with stakeholders to completion.Experience in controls are development, application, assessment and testing.Experience developing controls testing frameworks and plans. Understanding of controls testing assessment.Experience supporting complex Programs >$15M, in a risk/ governance capacity within Financial Services, preferably with exposure to commercial lending origination.Demonstrable understand APRA remediation and concepts relating to controls, treatments, and their testing.Clear and effective communication skills- ability to articulate complex issues succinctly across a variety of audiences, drive consensus and present confidently to a broad range of stakeholders in both a written and oral format.Knowledge and expertise in delivery tooling such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Signavio, PPM, and the MS Office suite.Experience fostering and managing relationships with program leaders and senior stakeholders, providing input into program decisions and influencing using data and reports.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
