Part Time 0.6FTE/Fixed Term 3 Year Appointment/Remuneration at HEO8 Level This role can be located from any La Trobe University Campus (Regional or Bundoora) Coordinate and organise externally facing engagement and events for the School About the position The School of Education is embarking on an ambitious growth strategy, with a renewed focus on expanding our research impact and educational offerings while strengthening our industry partnerships.
This pivotal role will work to ensure alignment between central Marketing initiatives and the strategic aims of the School of Education to promote our vision, growth strategy and high level aims.
This position is allocated to the Education Impact and Innovation project. This project is running for three years from 2025 and will entail providing additional support to the central Marketing and Recruitment division with promoting and marketing the School of Education at the national level.
The position holder will have a focus on producing promotional collateral and content for the School as well as strengthening external engagement, and will liaise with individuals and organisations from across the teacher education sector and stakeholders across the University.
Some of your duties will include: Provide high level media and communication support to the School of Education, working closely with the Marketing and Recruitment Division to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and strategies. Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans that align with the School's vision and strategic goals. Coordinate the delivery of media and communication activities related to the School's expansion strategy including social media, newsletters, advertising, promotions, digital content and PR - ensuring a cohesive and consistent brand image, key messaging and positioning in line with the School's strategic direction. Work collaboratively to fully understand the School's alternative pathways into teaching, such as Nexus, professional practice initiatives, issues and implications, and ensure marketing and communications solutions support the School's values and growth strategy. Analyse and interpret results of marketing strategies to generate insights, recommend audience segmentation, and make constructive recommendations to optimise campaigns to the relevant target audiences. Plan, manage and implement externally facing promotional events, ensuring they are delivered in a consistently professional way, and are aligned with the School's brand and marketing strategy. Support the development of media campaigns across various channels with an aim to maximise engagement with target audiences, including brand positioning planning and implementation. Skills and Experience: An undergraduate degree in fields such as Marketing, or Media and Communications with subsequent relevant experience in those areas, or extensive experience preferably in an educational setting, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience. Experience with marketing and recruitment campaigns. Experience in planning and organising events. Excellent grammar with high attention to detail, especially with respect to written content. Digitally savvy, with exceptional digital and multimedia skills supporting the creation and preparation of written, image and video content. Understanding of target audiences, with an effective writing style and ability to deliver high-impact messaging to key audiences. High-level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail (distribution lists), Adobe Creative Suite, social media, graphic design and video editing tools, the use of the internet as a research tool and information management systems.
