The team, headed by Nicholas Banks, is full of young enthusiastic professionals who enjoy putting out amazing food in a fast-paced and fun environment. We are seeking to immediately fill a permanent Chef position.Job tasks and responsibilitiesThe duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes as per our standards.Creating menus with flair and innovation, having regard to our stock, season, and patron preferences.Ensuring patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes to expectation while monitoring quality at all times.Monitoring stock levels and ordering accordingly to ensure cost-effectiveness.Monitoring food preservation and rotation to ensure minimal wastage.Assisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation and ingredients.Aiding in the selection and training of kitchen staff.Managing kitchen staff.Ensuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen and waiting staff.Skills and experienceWe envisage that the successful candidate will have:A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or similar.At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.Basic knowledge of customer dietary requirements such as food allergies & intolerances.The ability to work well under pressure.Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holiday periods.What’s On Offer:$75,000pa + superannuationTipsStaff discounts4-day rostered and 3-day offWorking alongside a fun and young team!We foster a work environment that's inclusive as well as diverse.
