About the Role
With a portfolio of over 300 restaurants around Australia as well as an exciting growth strategy with no plans of slowing down, our Property and Construction team are looking for an experienced Development Project Manager to join our team. Working closely with the Property and Construction department, your key responsibility will be to identify and recommend new sites, locations and/or acquisitions that align with CFL’s core business, liaise with developers and drive timely delivery of products.
The key duties of this role will include:
* Identify and recommend new sites for expansion of the CFL network.
* Negotiate favourable terms for the business.
* Review site plans and make recommendations as necessary to meet Franchise requirements.
* Manage key project dates through to handover to Operations.
* Prepare presentations and financial feasibilities for approval by Real Estate Committee.
* Negotiate and finalise legal contracts in accordance with CFL policies and requirements.
* Work with key stakeholders within the business to deliver the project on time and on budget.
* Liaise with Real Estate industry professionals.
* Interstate travel as required.

About You
Ideally you will possess tertiary qualifications in Business, Property, or related discipline along with proven experience working in a Retail Property Development role.
The successful candidate will also bring to the role the following skills, experience, and attributes:
* Previous experience working with retail property development, multi-sites, or quick service restaurants (QSR) industry is preferred.
* Sound understanding and experience in:
* Site identification and review
* Negotiation, formulation, and execution of contracts
* Managing development to completion
* Town planning and council requirements
* Sound understanding of site characteristics and design
* Ability to influence and drive
* Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Suite
* Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues
* Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
* Strong business acumen
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Capable of working without close supervision and able to exercise sound, independent judgement
* Ability to multitask, manage time, prioritise and meet conflicting timelines
* Willingness to adapt to changing environments
