Plant & Equipment Safety Onboarding Officer In this newly created role, you will be responsible for ensuring all plant and equipment that is supplied to our sites (internal, contractors and hired), are safe and fit-for-purpose. This will initially be offered as a 12-month fixed term contract.
Your key responsibilities will include : Liaising with internal colleagues and contractors to obtain documentation related to plant / equipment and organise site visits where required.Carrying out physical onboarding inspections at the site and deeming acceptable or unacceptable.Entering data from inspection into the system using an iPad or computer and attaching required documentation so that it can be submitted to the management register.Running regular reports.Assisting with management of onboarding of subcontractor employees in Pegasus.The role will also assist the Safety Manager with tasks as required.About You
Our ideal candidate will have : Relevant industry experience with regard to plant or fleet.Proven ability to develop partnerships with a range of stakeholders including management, staff, clients and the community.Current Drivers Licence as there will be regular travel to different sites to complete inspections (access to vehicle is provided).Certification within Work Health & Safety would be advantageous.Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.White card (general construction induction card) would be advantageous.Flexibility with work hours as there may be an occasional need to change your hours to work of an evening (estimated once per month).About Us ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone.
