This role offers the unique opportunity to influence large-scale projects, develop best practices, and make a significant impact on the evolving energy landscape.This role Lead a team of technical experts managing primary plant and secondary systems for stations and distribution lines.Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimise reliability and availability of network assets.Your position reports to the Senior Manager, Asset Management (Distribution) and is located at Southbank, Victoria.What you will deliverReview asset condition and performance, including transformers, circuit breakers, and HV switchgear, protection, control, and automation systems.Develop equipment standards, technical specifications, and maintenance policies.Initiate, justify and manage asset management and replacement projects.Interface with regulators, auditors, and corporate teams to ensure compliance and effective stakeholder management.Support emergency response efforts and assist network operations in delivering capital and operational plans.What we like about youExperience in leading a team of technical expertsDegree qualified in Power Systems Engineering.10+ years of engineering / asset management experience.Understanding of Asset Management leading practices, frameworks and relevant standards.Understanding of relevant Regulatory frameworks and legislation.Understanding of relevant Australian and International standards and industry codes of practice.Ability to lead and coordinate failure and incident investigations.Ability to connect with organisational strategy and identify what is required at a tactical level to achieve it.Knowledge of equipment, and technologies, with a focus on primary and secondary equipment on the Electricity Distribution Network and emerging trends and innovations.Inclusion and DiversityWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, one that fosters belonging, where every idea leads to innovation, so we celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
