Zendesk is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Contact Centre product team. This team is dedicated to creating exceptional customer experience products that leverage cutting-edge technologies, including React and Typescript. Our mission is to empower over 140,000 global businesses by delivering solutions that enhance customer interactions and satisfaction.
As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing high-quality frontend architecture that is secure, maintainable, and accessible. You will collaborate closely with designers and fellow engineers to develop innovative solutions that address real customer needs. This is an autonomous role that offers significant opportunities for impact across the Zendesk product family.
The Role
* Collaborate with designers to create best-in-class customer experience products using React and Typescript.
* Work alongside other engineers to devise and implement innovative solutions that tackle genuine customer challenges.
* Design and implement secure, maintainable, and performant front-end architecture that supports future generations of products.
* Support and maintain production code through bug triage and resolution, applying learnings for continuous improvement.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning by sharing ideas and experiences within the team.
What you bring to the role
* 3+ years of software development experience with React.js
* In-depth knowledge of Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS and other frontend languages.
* Knowledge of tools such as Redux, Flux, Webpack and Tailwind.
* Experience working with or building Design Systems/UI component libraries.
* Experience with test frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.
* Experience with AWS or Amazon Connect is highly considered.
