Assistant Chef
Tully Hill is accepting applications for an experienced individual to join as Assistant Chef. The role involves preparing and providing the highest quality food and service to patients, staff, and visitors in a recently renovated commercial kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Food Service Director/Head Chef with managing kitchen operations, including food preparation and friendly, efficient service.
* Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients.
* Prepare menu items according to approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
* Provide oversight of quality and quantity of product produced by kitchen staff.
* Serve patients, staff, and visitors in a friendly, efficient manner.
* Set up and break down hot/cold food stations.
* Operate kitchen equipment (slicer, mixer, grill, oven, fryer, dishwasher) in accordance with health department and OSHA guidelines.
* Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
* Wash dishes and ensure compliance with applicable Department of Health food service regulations.
Requirements:
* At least 2+ years of experience in food preparation and cooking required.
* Current SERVSAFE certification preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Job Details:
This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule between 6am – 6pm, with some weekend availability required.
