Overview:
* 1 x full time, fixed term (until November 2025) position available within the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences – Pharmaceutical Sciences Discipline
* Salary Academic Level B1 ($110,868) to B3 ($119,186 ) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
* Based at Bundoora campus but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.
About You
The Lecturer is expected to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School, aligned with the Pharmaceutical Sciences discipline. More specifically, you are responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and Honours degree programs and for maintaining and advancing your scholarly, research and/or professional capabilities. You will also be expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. You will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team. You may also be responsible for course coordination.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
* Demonstrated ability to prepare, deliver and assess Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences courses
* Demonstrated knowledge of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with specialist knowledge in pharmacological principles and therapeutic pharmacology
* Ability to undertake course coordination role
* Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning
* Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas
* Ability to build productive networks with colleagues and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills appropriate for interacting with students, staff and industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration
Qualifications
Mandatory: PhD or equivalent in a field relevant to Pharmaceutical Sciences.
