Position Details
* Senior Test Lead | 12 + 12 month contract Role | Large Testing Team
* Based in Melbourne or Canberra | Onsite and WFH | No Remote
* Approx. $115-135/hour | Multi-year, Long-term Opportunity
As the Senior Test Lead, you will be leading and conducting testing activities across a range of projects. You will be working closely with the Test Manager to ensure test strategy and standards are in place. You will need to be a passionate, enthusiastic leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
You will need to be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage test delivery with vendors and internal staff to ensure that across projects the delivery remains within scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets as defined with project teams.
* Act as a Test SME, understanding the tools and leading management and other stakeholders to use them.
* Analyse and report on test activities and results, escalating issues and risks to project management.
* Develop test plans, test cases, and supporting test data and/or requirements, under own direction from the specifications.
* Assign execution test cases at various stages of testing.
* Contribute to team improvement initiatives and projects, including team tools, process changes, and test automation.
* Identify, manage, and document defects, programming errors, and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications.
* Manage testing for multiple projects.
* Accurately record time and effort for test cases.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective and timely implementation of projects.
* Manage Defect Triages and meetings.
* Coordinate with business teams and support them during UAT.
Essential Criteria
* Experience leading testing activities for complex programs and creating Test Summary reports.
* Agile testing experience with team member accountability to commitment and delivery each sprint.
* Extensive experience using test management tools including Jira Xray and CRM, specifically Salesforce.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills needed to manage multiple factors on a project simultaneously.
* Strong teamwork skills across business, vendors, and geographically dispersed virtual teams.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and facilitate innovation and new ways of working with teams.
Desirable Criteria
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
* Demonstrated experience working for large organisations on complex software deployments.
* Other relevant experience in a related technical field (application development, Database development, deployment/implementation, and infrastructure).
* Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
