The Microbiologist is responsible for performing analytical methods, operating equipment/analytical instruments including Confirmation step (PCR and Maldi- TOF Techniques). Reporting to the Team Leader, this role will have the following responsibilities, but not limited to: - Out of Specification Investigation and reporting. - Method review and Internal Audits. - Calibration of equipment and other Quality check for Food Laboratory. - Weekend testing support for confirmation and testing Food samples. - Tertiary qualifications in Science or equivalent qualification; or equivalent experience. - At least 3-5 years' experience in NATA accredited commercial laboratory. Experience in PCR/results reading & confirmation. NATA signatory will be added advantage - Experience in using different equipment/instrumental and sample preparation techniques. - Experience using a laboratory LIMS system. - Technical knowledge in the relevant scientific discipline. - Strong knowledge of NATA requirement for ISO 17025.
