About the Role
We are seeking a talented Sales Executive to join our Wetherill Park team, focusing on the Power Generation Business to drive top-line sales growth and market share expansion.
Main Responsibilities
* Prospect and develop new business opportunities to grow the Power Generation segment (Diesel Generators and Automatic Transfer Switches).
* Independently create and execute account plans to build customer relationships and achieve sales targets within designated sales territories, market segments, or channel partners.
* Collaborate closely with Consultants, Electrical Contractors, and End Users to understand customer needs and priorities, offering tailored Cummins solutions.
* Analyze the value chain players and sales process required to secure Major Projects, leveraging strong account planning and face-to-face communication skills.
* Negotiate according to company guidelines, working closely with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Project Management.
* Manage a strong Sales Opportunity Pipeline to proactively plan successful sales strategies and produce accurate Sales Forecasts.
Requirements
* A very strong background in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, with a deep understanding of engines and/or electrical systems.
* Prior experience in Power Generation is highly desirable.
* 5 years of previous sales experience in a similar role is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and develop new business.
* Experience with account management is essential.
* Familiarity with Salesforce will be an advantage.
