With new management focused on modernising our approach to the market, you’ll have a unique opportunity to help shape marketing and bring that to life across digital and offline channels.
Our team goal is to uplift the organisation, our colleagues and our own team so that they not only deliver great outcomes but also grow professionally. Your contribution will enhance our brand, streamline member communications, and drive growth through well-coordinated campaigns and promotions.
Strong performance will lead to career progression within 12 to 18 months in various possible directions based on your preference; brand management, digital management, eCommerce management or other directions as agreed with management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Campaign Support & Execution: Assist in the planning and executing monthly marketing campaigns, working across multiple channels like email, SMS, website, and digital signage. Collaborate closely with local suppliers and our distribution network to bring each campaign to life.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor campaign performance and engagement across digital platforms. Work with internal data to help guide future campaigns and refine current strategies.
* Member Engagement: Facilitate targeted communications, including “welcome packs” for new members, updates for inactive accounts, and custom outreach to re-engage lapsed members.
* Event Coordination: Support the logistics and promotion for major Co-op events, such as trade shows, forums, and member conferences.
* Content Development: Assist in the creation and curation of engaging, brand-aligned content for digital platforms. This includes developing materials for events and promotions using tools like Canva and Adobe applications.
* Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with other teams to ensure cohesive marketing messaging and consistent brand presence across all touchpoints.
* Marketing Administration: Oversee essential marketing team functions like managing purchase orders, supplier coordination, and processing invoices using our software packages.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Timely execution of monthly campaigns
* Engagement on digital platforms and conversion of digital interactions into member activity (excluding social media).
* Effectiveness and impact of campaigns measured by member satisfaction and event success.
* Shared KPIs; Net Promoter Score (NPS), Member engagement, Member growth.
* eCommerce website take-up.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience: 1-3 years in an Australian-based marketing team.
* Skills: Proficient in digital tools, including Canva and basic design software; experience with SEO and SEM tools, email marketing, and e-commerce platforms like Adobe Magento is a plus. Using AI tools like ChatGPT to ideate, write, analyse, and support output is strongly supported and seen as a strength not a weakness.
* Personal Qualities: Energetic, positive, highly organised, data-driven, quick learner, great communicator, and capable of using sound judgment to balance innovative approaches with practical solutions. You will recognise marketing's role in both driving and servicing the business. You will be up for getting out and about to our branches frequently to stay grounded in what the business is and does. You should be the type of person who enjoys meeting our plumber members IRL on job sites, offices and events when the occasion calls for it.
