Our Opportunity We are seeking a Delivery Lead to join our Group Technology and Operations team, reporting to the Project Management Practice Lead. This Delivery Lead is responsible for the delivery of business and technical initiatives on behalf of one of our Wealth & Capital Markets (Financial Services) business platform. The primary responsibility is to supervise the entire technology delivery process, working with a long standing DevSecOps team, from the initiation of projects and initiatives to their completion, with a strong emphasis on realising business goals and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Delivery Lead is expected to engage in challenging discussions with the team and consistently enhance delivery processes to boost velocity and throughput. The role will also work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, including product owners, architects, service providers and support teams. What you will deliver Delivery Leadership : Lead and guide delivery squad to ensure multiple streams of delivery are managed to best practice standards, optimise continuous delivery and reduce cycle time ongoingly to maximise delivery of business outcomes Delivery Management : Identify & mitigate delivery risks and ensure best practice testing practices are adhered to Delivery Execution : Create & execute delivery plans, conducting required team events (sprint planning, stand-ups, stakeholder update sessions etc) to execute effectively Stakeholder Management : Build engagement and alignment with project sponsors and team members to co-design scope and achievable delivery plans to realise expected benefits Reporting : Track, analyse and communicate the progress and outcomes of projects delivery Delivery Optimisation : Identify bottlenecks and optimise resource utilisation to address any delivery constraints About you Our Australian Unity Delivery Leads require strong leadership skills, particularly as this role oversees systems delivery from ideation through to realised business benefits in production, facilitates agile events and ensures a clear path to release through dependency, impediment and risk management on behalf of the team. In addition to the above we are also looking for: Relevant tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role. Previous experience as a developer, solution architect or similar would be highly regarded Previous experience in various project methodologies like Waterfall, Agile (SCRUM and KANBAN) and Hybrid is essential. Strong experience in facilitating teams through discovery and solution phases, ensuring triaging and execution is always directly linked to delivering business goals Demonstrated (and strong experience) forming and developing strong partnerships with stakeholders and influencing them to achieve favourable outcomes Excellent ability to navigate through ambiguity and complex business environments to deliver outstanding business solutions. Demonstrated experience operating in a fast paced, changing environment. Working knowledge of SharePoint, Wrike and other Enterprise Project Management systems Competent in use of Atlassian including Jira/Confluence, Visio and Microsoft office suite. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a passion for working in highly collaborative environments.
