Position Overview
The HR Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing human resource strategies, policies, and programs to align with Horsell's business needs. This role ensures best practices in recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compliance, and workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage recruitment strategies to attract and retain top-tier professionals in consulting, technology, and training roles.
* Work closely with the Principal Consultant (Horsell Consulting) and Directors of Horsell Technology & Horsell Academy to align workforce planning with project needs and ensure staffing supports Horsell's objectives.
* Build strategic talent pipelines, with a focus on securing professionals with government procurement, policy, and defence sector experience.
* Oversee onboarding/offboarding processes for employees, ensuring they are integrated effectively into a dispersed workforce.
* Design and implement remote workforce engagement initiatives to maintain team morale and productivity.
* Plan and execute team-building activities, virtual events, and annual in-person gatherings across the states in which Horsell operates.
* Work closely with Horsell's leadership team to ensure employees are meeting objectives while maintaining high engagement levels.
* Provide HR advisory and strategic workforce planning support to the executive leadership team.
* Work with leadership to identify HR process efficiencies, including automation opportunities and policy standardisation.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Minimum level required Bachelor's degree;
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR role;
* Experience in handling employee relations, including negotiations with unions and dispute resolution;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Employment Details:
* Employment Type: Full Time;
* Salary: $74,000 - $80,000 + superannuation (38 proposed hours of work per week).
