We help those who want to build connections and capabilities to achieve career, study, community participation and independent living goals. We specialise in helping people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), psychosocial and other barriers and can tailor solutions to help anyone 12+ in a fun and supported way. Our services including:•Weekly Coaching Program - Social, career and independence coaching program online and face-to face in our St Kilda HQ packaged as single day, nights or all days and nights.•Short Term Accommodation (STA) holidays - 3–4-night holiday programs centred around major events in Melbourne, wellness retreats and other interest areas (such as DnD and Warhammer tabletop strategy games).Company Goals:•Inspire Motivation - Feeling positive and driven to work towards aspirations. •Social Growth – Building quality friendships with a like-minded community of peers.•Personal and Professional Development - Coaching from Career coaches and eSports level players to build competitive career skills with real world applications. •Achieving Success - Taking steps towards personal work, career, and life goals with support from expert coaches and industry mentors.Position Purpose:As a Support Coach, you will work with clients (during STA or our weekly coaching program) to help them be supported to meet their NDIS goals, foster relationships within Crank, focus on wellbeing and reengage in the wider CRANK community. The Support Coach is required to participate in the day-to-day operation of the STA event or be on the floor assisting clients who attend the weekly program. The role has a focus on responding to the client’s emotional and functional needs, all administrative requirements and ensuring they are helped to organise meals and feel comfortable in the office and within accommodation settings. Supported by the Support Coach Coordinator, our Support Coaches utilise expert skills in disability support to ensure clients have a fun and safe STA or coaching experience at CRANK.Role Duties:•Provide individualised support approaches to NDIS participants.•Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and development.•Assist participants with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.•Implement personalised plans and strategies to help participants achieve their goals in areas such as socialisation, independence, and wellbeing.•Engage participants in group and coaching experiences, promoting skill-building and positive social interactions within the CRANK and broader gaming community.•Collaborate with team members to develop and implement innovative support care approaches to support individuals with ASD, psychosocial challenges, and other barriers.•Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in accordance with organisational policies and NDIS requirements.•Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care and support.•Undertake specific training based on allocated client disabilities and needs.Relevant Qualifications:Employees are expected to have completed or be completing one of the following relevant qualifications to ensure they are equipped with skills appropriate for CRANK’s Support Coach role:•Certificate III in individual support (Aging and Disability) •Certificate IV in Disability SupportIf applicantrs have not met the above relevant qualification requirements, the following short course must be completed within the first three months of employment while they enrol in one of the mandated course pathways:•Introduction to the national disability insurance scheme - Course Code 22469 VICAward Pay Point:The position of Support Coach is a Social and Community Services Employees Award Level 1or 2 role. Mandatory Certifications and Training:•Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain).•NDIS worker screening clearance (or be willing to obtain).•Up to date First Aid and CPR certification (or be willing to obtain).•National Police Check (no more than 6 months old).•Full Victorian Driver’s Licence (car).Required Workplace Training:•Completion of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Worker Orientation Module “Quality, Safety and You”.•NDIS training modules - Mandatory Reporting, Complaints and Feedback Handling and NDIS Code of Conduct.•Mental Health First Aid certification•Training/Certification in Manual Handling.•Additional training as required for client needs (Diabetes etc)Selection CriteriaApplicants must address the following selection criteria in cover letter and interviews:

Professionalism as a Support Coach serving CRANK clients:
Know Your Client (KYC) - You seek to understand your clients NDIS goals across social, career and independence categories. You reach out to clients and their representatives and use relevant reports to understand support needs and event interests.
Deliver Magical Experiences - You can predict the needs of our clients and think one step ahead FOR them. You plan and engage with CRANK and community activities based on your clients’ unique interests and needs.
Functional and Financial Health - you manage time and budgets effectively (within agreed support plans and budgets). You achieve this while meeting ad-hoc and unplanned needs with professionalism and timeliness.
Supporting Your Team - you go out of your way to ensure your fellow coaches at CRANK are supported. This includes supporting clients who may be allocated to coaches other than you. You volunteer, offer and create constructive solutions, and step up for the greater good of the organisation and our clients. You are active in team meetings.
Communicating Results – All client activities are recorded in an effective way via the CRANK portal. Your outline how CRANK as assisted clients to achieve their unique career, independence and career NDIS goal and other personal achievements. These are captured and recorded in photographic form to assist CRANK with accurate and effective reporting.
