At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a highly qualified Principal / Sr. Principal Digital Hardware Engineer to join our program hardware team located in Alice Springs, AU.
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing digital communication systems, troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic equipment, and providing technical expertise to ensure the success of our programs.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of basic communication theory, digital and analog modulation/demodulation techniques, and AC & DC electronic theory.
You should also have experience working with oscilloscopes, BER testers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, volt meters, and other equipment used for testing digital communication systems.
In addition, you should have knowledge and understanding of various communication protocols such as RS232, RS422, GPIB, etc., and experience with BPSK & QPSK waveforms and methods for testing and troubleshooting systems that use such techniques.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline plus (8) years of engineering/technical experience OR a Masters' Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline plus (6) years of engineering/technical experience.
A DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI access, and completion of a counterintelligence polygraph examination prior to start date are required.
