As we prepare for this exciting new phase, we have launched a new Utilities Operations and Maintenance business in Western Australia, giving you the opportunity to be part of the journey as we bolster our capacity to deliver operations and maintenance services within the utilities sector.
The Role: Planner
The Planner plays a crucial role in efficiently organising planned works to align with UGL and client deadlines, optimizing the utilisation of UGL workforce, trades, and associated resources. By crafting appropriate work schedules, the Planner enables supervisors to achieve high levels of utilisation, minimising downtime and ensuring ample resources for substantial projects. Timely communication of the schedule to all key stakeholders is a key responsibility to keep everyone well-informed.
About You
* Demonstrated ability to efficiently schedule works, utilising project management tools and methodologies to optimize timelines.
* Proficient in implementing and utilizing real-time monitoring systems to track project progress, allowing for swift decision-making and issue resolution.
* Strong skills in allocating and managing resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to enhance workflow efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Familiarity with setting up automated reminder systems to ensure timely notifications for upcoming tasks, inspections, and milestones, preventing delays.
* Knowledge of integrating weather forecasts into project scheduling to anticipate and plan for adverse conditions, minimizing weather-related delays and risks.
* Effective document management capabilities, ensuring that all project-related documentation is organized and easily accessible for team members, reducing errors.
* Ability to generate insightful reports on project progress, resource utilization, and potential bottlenecks, facilitating data-driven decision-making for future projects.
* Comfortable with user-friendly interfaces designed for easy navigation, ensuring accessibility for all team members, regardless of their technical expertise.
