Customer Support Major Accounts Manager
Hastings Deering is seeking an experienced Customer Support Major Accounts Manager to support our Major Accounts across the SEQ region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain close association with Senior Executives and key Influencers of prospects and owner groups within nominated accounts.
* Understand intimately the overall business structures, market drivers, strategy, and influences of nominated head office accounts.
* Provide direct coverage of nominated head office accounts and be the point of contact and coordinator for our customers and our field staff in respect of these accounts.
* Develop and actively manage a strategic multi-generational account management plan to ensure nominated head office accounts afford Hastings Deering preferred supplier status and maximise share of customer revenue spend.
* Work with Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, Sales Coordinators, and Administration in the preparation and deal strategy packaging of formal tenders and quotations for nominated customer groups.
* Develop account growth strategies and recommend refinements to these strategies as dictated by market forces.
* Actively qualify, participate in, and close out all equipment and related business opportunities in timely manner.
* Understand and communicate buy cycles, maintenance and operating costs, production and fleet utilisation targets, and repair and rebuild strategies.
* Accountable for the sales and delivery of an asset to the customer requirements (tender, build, delivery, assembly, commissioning, and payment).
* Understand customer business/site plan requirements and present business contributions that generates opportunities and follow up.
* Achieve targeted business results (PINS, Payment Terms, Gross Margin, Sales Revenue, and Customer Satisfaction) for area of responsibility against budget.
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in effective account management, sales development, and business growth with key customer sales accounts in a similar or related industry.
* Diploma in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in heavy earthmoving, mining, or mining services industries developing, implementing, and reporting on sales strategies.
* Good commercial and business acumen, deal qualification and closing skills, negotiation, and high price tolerance.
