About the role
Grampians Health is looking for a motivated individual to join our Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit as a Food & Domestic Services Assistant. You'll play a key role in assisting with food service, cleaning, and supporting our patients and their families.
* Provide a high standard of work and utilise excellent communication skills
* Work in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering the best care
* Enjoy a 7-day roster, including public holidays
Key Responsibilities
* Maintains a customer focus and professional presence
* Engage with key Stakeholders to ensure service and processes delivered is person centred
* Utilise resources responsibly and in a cost-effective manner
* Demonstrate a person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff
* Clean equipment as directed
* Attend to general housekeeping duties as required by the clinical ward, including patient beverages and collection of daily supplies and newspapers etc
Skills & Experience
* Food Handling Certificate (HLTFS207C - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices)
* Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills
* Demonstrates good interpersonal skills
