We aim to be Australia's most loved everyday brand at Optus. The Procurement Manager will support Business owners and stakeholders across all Optus Business Units with source to contract activity across multiple Categories.
This role leads RFx activity, including vendor selection, commercial analysis, vendor negotiations, and contracting, while working closely with Business stakeholders and internal subject matter experts.
Your Day in the Life of a Procurement Manager
Develop strategies for sourcing, analyze and streamline transactional processes and policies, and drive change management projects.
Prepare, lead, and run multiple end-to-end sourcing and procurement projects to completion.
Contribute as a team member to the Optus Indirect Procurement team in a fast-paced environment, sharing ideas, insights, and working collaboratively to improve processes and ways of working.
Champion and improve working relationships with business stakeholders internally and externally, across all levels, including C-Suite/Executive Leadership Team (ELT), to collaborate on procurement initiatives.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed
Multi-year procurement sourcing experience in Indirect Categories (Professional Services, Marketing, Business & Corporate Services)
Solid experience leading RFx activity, commercial analysis, preparation of executive-level recommendations, and reporting
Influence and communicate sourcing programs across all levels of corporate hierarchy
Strong commercial background, coupled with analytical thinking capability, and the ability to develop and review commercial proposals with an eye on value creation and cost-saving opportunities
Demonstrated capability to manage large-scale and complex sourcing projects
