Securities Markets Section Manager - Domestic Markets As a manager in Securities Markets Section, you will play a key role in overseeing Domestic Market Department’s analysis of wholesale funding markets and the transmission of monetary policy. This will include leading analysis of the cost/volume of and access to capital market financing, and using these insights to ensure that Domestic Markets Department delivers relevant high-quality policy advice to executive management and the Board. You will lead and develop individuals and teams to deliver outcomes aligned with the Bank’s goals, while working closely with other parts of the Bank and ensuring compliance with relevant Bank policies. Your background: We are looking for a thoughtful and effective leader with strong skills in communication, analysis, strategic thinking and workflow management. To be successful in this role you will have: Strong critical thinking skills to guide and produce relevant and timely analysis on issues related to securities markets and monetary policy transmission. A demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with the intended audience in mind. Good organisational and time management skills, and ability to prioritise work according to departmental goals. Experience in leading people and coaching junior staff. A proven ability to manage internal and external relationships, including working collaboratively with other teams and communicating with external parties such as market participants and official sector agencies. Key objectives: Contribute to the broader strategic direction and leadership of Securities Markets Section and Domestic Markets Department, sharing accountability with other leaders for overall performance of deliverables and outcomes to meet the needs of the Bank. Lead the team’s analysis on matters related to securities markets and monetary policy transmission, working collaboratively with other teams within the Bank and external parties as appropriate. Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams to effectively achieve department and organisational outcomes. Work flexibly with section management to plan and prioritise in response to evolving work pressures. Lead, and continue to develop, Securities Markets Section’s program of liaison with market participants. Look for and implement efficiency improvements as appropriate.
