Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time Landgate's cadastral survey inspection function provides a critical role in land boundary certainty, which underpins a secure land titles register, and the value of property in Western Australia. The Chief Inspecting Surveyor carries out the statutory functions of the Inspector of Plans and Surveys and applies qualifications and significant expertise to lead complex work involving: Inspecting cadastral surveys, plans and field records Facilitating survey and plan registration Ensuring quality cadastral data in support of land titling, land development and positioning of location data. The role requires a practicing Licensed Surveyor with the knowledge, experience and acumen to be appointed to approve plans of authorised surveys and serve as an Authorised Land Officer and an Assistant Registrar of Titles. The Chief Inspecting Surveyor will serve on the Land Surveyors Licensing Board and the Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping's Cadastre Working Group.
