About The Company Our client is a leading supplier to the global Life Science industry with solutions and services for research, biotechnology development and production, pharmaceutical drug therapy development and production. They are looking for their new Strategic Account Manager to join their ANZ team in Brisbane, QLD. About the Role The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for customers across Academia, Government and Hospital segments with a large presence in the Brisbane metropolitan area. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for: Developing a territory plan to achieve sales targets in the assigned territory, proactively leveraging all communication channels including digital tools and face to face interactions. Proactively developing and managing the customer relationships within assigned territory and/or market segment. Executing business plans and sales strategies to defend and grow their accounts. Utilising call planning, pipeline management, lead identification, proactive sales performance monitoring to drive sales and achieve set targets. Working closely with colleagues from other business units and functions including Customer Service and Supply Chain. Providing weekly updates in the CRM including logging all sales activities, updating opportunity pipeline and closing leads. Submitting accurate monthly commentaries on sales performance and quarterly forecasts updates as requested on a timely basis. Schedule and execute campaigns and promotions within the defined territory. Manage effective annual pricing round to include, but not limited to: Contracts, Pricing Agreements, Renewals, negotiations, and implementations. Ability to travel as necessary for meetings, trainings and customer visits. About You To be successful in this role you will have the following: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, biology, chemistry or related discipline. 3+ years of industry experience or customer relations experience Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of demonstrated experience in meeting/exceeding sales targets and or customer facing experience. Business acumen relevant to the Life Science market with relevant technical knowledge and the ability to produce and interpret sales data in various formats. Self-motivated, able to prioritize and take initiative, strong organizational and time management skills. Strong Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strategic thinking and planning skills, a growth mindset. Able to build and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust with internal partners and customers. Able to work closely with functional support organizations to effectively achieve goals. Demonstrated ability with Excel, Microsoft Office software, Salesforce or other CRM in a business environment. Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to network and be self-motivated and energetic.
