Add expected salary to your profile for insights Design & Build have partnered with a leader in the energy sector who is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join their high-performing team in Sydney and oversee the delivery of one of their flagship projects.This project is using first-of-its-kind technology and is being watched in the global energy market as it marks a huge step forward for the industry.Salary & Perks: $200k - $220k + Super Hybrid & Flexible Work Arrangements Collaborative & Enjoyable Culture Beautiful modern office in Sydney As the Project Controls Manager, you will ensure effective planning, monitoring, and control of project activities and work closely with the broader team providing accurate and timely updates on project performance, cost, schedule, and risk.Responsibilities: Develop & maintain comprehensive project plan & schedule (milestones, activities & deliverables). Collaborate with the wider team ensuring alignment with project objectives & stakeholder requirements. Monitor & update schedule regularly reflecting progress & identify any potential deviations. Develop, implement & maintain cost control systems tracking expenditures, budgets & variances. Prepare cost estimates for project phases & activities (Labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant costs). Analyze cost data, identify trends & provide cost forecasting to support decision-making. Establish mechanisms to monitor & report on project progress (regular progress reports, dashboards, and performance indicators). Coordinate with the project team to collect & validate progress data. Analyze data identifying potential delays & risks, provide recommendations for mitigation. Identify & monitor project risks - schedule, cost, and technical risks. Collaborate with the wider team developing risk mitigation strategies & contingency plans. Review & update risk register, communicate status to relevant stakeholders. Evaluate project change requests, including scope changes, schedule changes & cost changes. Participate in project review meetings, provide feedback on performance & areas of improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Controls Manager in EPC projects. Experience working in complex multidisciplinary engineering projects such as O&G, Power Generation, CCGT. Proficiency in software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
