We are seeking an experienced DRAFTSPERSON/PLANNER to join our busy workshop on a full-time and permanent basis.
The role includes but is not limited to:
* Carry out design and development of products including design verification and validation.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with All Industries Group policies and procedures.
* Calculate dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials.
* Describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used).
* Create detailed designs with Inventor and AutoCAD software.
* Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate workflow.
* Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality.
* Ensure final designs comply with AS/NZ & ISO standards, regulations and quality standards.
* Create manuals that describe existing products’ operation, features and maintenance, e.g., Dossiers, close-out reports, etc.
* Provide quotations and updates to customers when required.
* Create and control production orders following AIG’s procedures using ERP system (ITMS).
* Daily update of Work In Progress (WIP), job schedule and communicate information with the rest of the production team (5 day production schedule minimum).
* Liaise with the production supervisor to ensure jobs are meeting deadlines, within budget hours and are meeting Quality Assessment (QA).
* Encourage and maintain acceptable QA and Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
* Maintain accuracy and up-to-date data in AIG’s Electronic Resource Planner (ERP) System (ITMS) and server drives.
* Include information on project planning/management, estimation & profitability.
* Raise NCR’s, recommend corrective action, and offer suggestions for improvement.
* Participate in weekly production meetings and engineering meetings.
* Carry out design and development of products, including verification and validation of designs.
* Ensure all records, including drawing numbers, are up to date.
* Develop defined scope of works for tenders and attend to site/jobs when required.
* Ensure all communication is engaged with internal, external and third-party contractors.
* Report to the Management System Manager (MSM).
* Undertake training for professional development and coaching and be involved in AIG’s competitive business systems (Lean/Six Sigma).
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
* At least 4 years of experience in the same trade.
* Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
* Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable.
* Strong communication skills.
* Must have great work ethics.

Salary: Between $70,000 and $75,000 per annum + Super
