Key Responsibilities:
· Safely transport and supervise detainees during critical activities
· Participating in court activities and ensure safety requirements are met
· Manage conflicts and communicate empathetically, positively impacting the lives of detainees
· Maintain a professional, fair, and open-minded approach towards detainees
· Provide safety and security for detainees, staff and the public
· Conduct walking and mobile patrols of designated areas
· Supervise detainees, escort them to appointments or court appearances, and maintain accurate records
What to expect at our Assessment Sessions:
· Insight into the crucial role of a Custody Officer on the CS&CS contract
· Fitness assessment, including:
1. Beep test (minimum standard: 4.1)
2. Illinois Agility Test
3. Dead ball lift over the shoulder
· Group task
· Incident reporting
· Formal interview
Requirements:
· Availability for full-time training for 6 weeks in Perth (Fully Funded)
· Commitment to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications
· Australian/NZ Citizen or permanent resident
· Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test
