An excellent Full Time – Permanent opportunity exists for a Production Supervisor to lead our dynamic production team based at our Production Centre - 183 Viking Drive Wacol.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Organise and coordinate the production team
* Monitor production teams and equipment to ensure achievement of targets
* Organise maintenance of equipment as necessary
* Ensure product quality throughout the process
* Work with management to implement initiatives such as lean and 5S to continually improve efficiency
* Manage production resources and processes to achieve production output and overcome peaks and troughs in demand
* Monitor and manage staff training and competency
* Coordinate with the Service Advisor and sublet providers as required
* Provide input to the scheduling of jobs through the department
* Liaise with other departments on the progress of work
* Foster a customer and quality centric focus within the department
About You:
* In-depth knowledge of Allison Transmissions essential.
* Demonstrated understanding & ability to review electrical schematics - essential.
* Must hold or be able to obtain MTU 199 QL2 overhaul certification.
* Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
* Knowledge of manufacturing principles and quality systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Skills in time management and work organisation.
* Skills in interpretation of technical data.
* Skills in management reporting.
* Knowledge of engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
* Resource planning experience.
