Candidates ideally will have experience on Industrial projects or other commercial new build projects. Will be running projects through the full project life cycle from inception to completion. Our client is a boutique client side project and construction management consultancy who provide independent and professional services for property and infrastructure projects. They are looking for an enthusiastic Project Manager to join their innovative and client-focused team to work on high-end industrial projects. Experience working on industrial, warehouse & distribution centre building projects is desirable.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience in these types of projects (or other new build commercial projects) and hopefully recently. The candidate can come from the client or head contractor side. If from the contractor side, strong Contract Administration, Project Engineering and Project Management skillsets are sought after.
Offering an end-to-end consulting, PM and advisory service to their clients, they have a diverse project portfolio spanning industrial, commercial buildings and infrastructure to name a few.
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects from scope development through construction to hand over, providing a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded. Projects will be $100m+.
Will need to have construction delivery experience; however, having some experience in the front end including planning, DA, CC, OC etc would be ideal.
The Ideal Candidate will have: Experience of managing industrial projects from scope development to hand overA proven track record in managing the design development as well as the up-front regulatory approvalsExperience on industrial new build projects from $10m+Ideally experience of working for a client side PM firm or a main contractor on D&C contracts in buildingsDevelop documentation for the appointment of contractors through competitive tenderingIdentify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when requiredBe able to manage project expenditure and cash flowBe able to manage defect identification and rectificationA positive and 'can do' attitude and extremely high client serving standards are essentialQualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or similarMinimum 5+ years' experience ideally working on large scale industrial, warehousing and distribution center projectsIdeally experience of working for a client side PM firm or a main contractor on D&C contracts in buildingsStrong project financial reporting skillsStrategic thinker who is able to see the bigger pictureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal skillsThis is a full-time permanent position providing a great opportunity to work with an established organisation who offer challenging work.
