At voco Gosford, we’ll cater to both business and leisure guests, as well as provide a swanky new destination for locals to meet.
The Venue Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our new Japanese inspired chic rooftop bar with sweeping views out to Brisbane Waters, Central Coast. If you are a humble, creative and dedicated venue operator with experience in high end, premium service venues, we want to hear from you!
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our team during the pre-opening phase of a new hotel, that will look to be the changing face of the Central Coast. As Venue Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the pre-opening functions of the bar, ensuring every detail is carefully executed to guarantee a seamless opening of the venue and provide an outstanding guest experience from day one.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
1. A capable people leader, responsible for developing the team’s product knowledge, service skills and customer experience to make sure they deliver with compliance and to top standard.
2. Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
3. Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Help guests with their requests and complaints - making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
4. Keep an eye on competitor activity / industry innovation. Review and approve menu design and concepts with Head Chef.
5. Handle food and beverage inventory procedures. Determine minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment.
6. Manage all aspects of your venue’s P&L.
7. Sound knowledge of all liquor licensing laws and ensuring the venue is compliant in all areas.
8. Identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue.

We’re looking for a creative and motivated professional with the perfect blend of strong leadership, operational expertise, and financial/business acumen. In addition, you will possess:
* Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification or advanced training in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, culinary arts, or related field preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar roles.
* Experience in Food & Beverage and/or Hotel Operations.
* Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card, as required by local law.
* Must speak fluent English.
