These collaborations centre NT First Nations artists and stories, music, dance, poetry, singing and visual media, giving audiences and participants a distinctive experience that celebrates our cultural context.About the RoleThe Marketing and Development Coordinator plays an essential part in the DSO team – coordinating communications, maintaining the organisation's online presence, working strategically to engage with our audience, philanthropic, government, and corporate supporters, and assisting with event requirements.We're looking for someone who is self-driven and proactive, with the ability to lead all marketing and communications of DSO. The marketing side of this role includes managing and coordinating marketing materials, communications with audiences via social media, our website and e-newsletters. The development side of this role supports critical philanthropic, sponsorship, and business development activity of the organisation by producing and managing communications with partners organisations to help DSO grow.This is an all-rounder marketing role that would suit an agile candidate.ESSENTIAL CRITERIAExceptional planning, organisational skills, and attention to detailPrevious experience producing and proofreading publications (e-newsletters, media releases, marketing materials)Great communicator, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly developed interpersonal skills and experience in customer managementExperience with electronic marketing communicationsExcellent computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office programsSelf-motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across a team and ability to work independentlyDemonstrated ability to adapt quickly to the needs of a variety of projects and tasksInterest in the artsDesirableBasic to intermediate design experienceExperience writing or assisting with successful grants, funding proposals and reportsPrevious experience working with databases (Salesforce or similar)Experience maintaining websites (specifically WordPress)Competency in photo and video editing (e.g. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve)Experience in the arts sectorKEY DUTIESMARKETINGIndependently manage all publicity requirements for DSO events, including development of promotional materials, ad bookings, media releases and digital marketingCreate media kits and lead media opportunitiesLiaise with designers to develop promotional materialsSimple design tasks, such as creating social media and website banners as required (e.g. through Canva)Produce and manage content for website, social media and electronic-direct mail (EDMs)Assist with ad hoc event requirements, including front of house dutiesCoordinate and send concert and event invitations, seating and VIP listsAssist in maintaining company records, including data for annual reportsEstablish and maintain CRM (customer relationship management) database: for patrons, ticket buyers, VIPs, and other stakeholdersGenerate other electronic communications to stakeholders, including invitations and monthly e-newslettersCoordinate long-term strategic marketing areas including website development and brand developmentDEVELOPMENTDevelop communications that demonstrate program outcomes, tailored for donors, sponsors, and other partnersSupport the planning, delivery, monitoring and review of projects and programs to meet reporting requirementsAssist with grant writing and funding acquittalsHelp to identify new funding opportunities with strong strategic alignment to DSO's objectives and programsCoordinate planning for partner and donor events and engagement strategiesSupport philanthropic program by managing our Patron (donor) database, helping with donor communications, and keeping records updatedAssist with the administration and coordination of annual fundraising campaignsADMINISTRATION AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with general office administrationAnswer general enquiries from phone, DSO general email, websiteMaintain positive working relationships with other DSO staff, volunteers and musiciansUndertake other duties within the scope of the employee's skills, competence and training as directed.KEY RELATIONSHIPS• Reports to General Manager• Works closely with Finance Officer, Artistic Director/Chief Conductor; Orchestra & Operations Manager, Concertmaster, and Education and Outreach CoordinatorSALARY RANGE$80k -85k per annum, plus superannuation.HOW TO APPLYPlease send your resume along with a cover letter outlining your relevant skills and experience, and why you would like to take on this role to Kate Stephens, General Manager at.
