Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.Demonstrated advanced skills in the nursing management of complex psychiatric presentations, risk assessment, crisis intervention and management of aggression in a clinical setting.High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with Aboriginal consumers and their family members who engage with mental health services.Demonstrated ability to solve logistical problems that involve competing priorities.A working knowledge of computers and information systems relevant to the position/role.Current knowledge of legislative obligations for the Mental Health Act (2014).Working knowledge of providing clinical care within the recovery framework principles.Ability to work on-call on weekends as required.Current C class Drivers Licence.Position Profile: The clinical nurse specialist acts as the BMHU Bed Manager and is responsible to facilitate admission processes for patients referred for admission to BMHU from the Kimberley and Pilbara regions.
