Your New Role
Reporting to the Manager, Incidents, the Risk Analyst is a key member of the Line 1 Risk team for the Member Domain, helping to provide a range of operational risk responsibilities such as:
1. Support theernance & Accountability team to ensure that risk is managed in accordance with the Fund Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
2. Timely management of incidents and breaches in line with Fund and regulatorypliance obligations.
3. Through root cause analysis of incidents, identify proactive risk reduction activities, control enhancements and/or new controls.
4. Ensure the ongoing integrity of data and reporting from the GRC system.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
5. Working directly with incident owners, conduct initial investigations and gather adequate information to understand the nature and impact of incidents so that appropriate decisions can be made at the management and resolution of incidents.
6. Undertake root cause analysis and identify process or control improvement opportunities (where applicable).
7. Help the business identify and develop sustainable andmercial solutions for implementation that mitigate further incidents occurring.
8. Proactively monitor incidents to ensure they are appropriately managed, and all key activities have beenpleted within expected timeframes and to the required standard.
9. Ensure incident and breach reporting data integrity to enable accurate reporting and assist with generating insights that will enable improved decision making.
10. Execute control design and operating effectiveness testing including the identification and implementation of uplift rmendations.
11. Identification and design of controls to mitigate risks and/or fulfill obligations
12. Assist in preparing periodic operational risk reporting and/or specific incident management reporting for various functions. The reporting must help enable stakeholders to understand the Member incident profile and to enable improved decision making.
What You'll Need
13. 3+ years of experience in Operational Risk,pliance, Internal or External Audit, Fraud Management preferably in superannuation or financial services.
14. Experience in incident, breach and/or fraud management highly desirable.
15. Working knowledge of risk andpliance frameworks including incident and breach management.
16. Good understanding of controls management practices including root cause analysis.
17. Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Including having a structured approach to problem solving and being able tomunicateplex factual scenarios in an easily digestible manner.
18. Strong written and oralmunication/ interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to a range of audiences including non-risk colleagues, 2nd line colleagues and senior stakeholders.
19. Poise and ability to act calmly andpetently in high-pressure and dynamic situations.
20. High level of personal integrity as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
