About the role:
The Cardiac Sonographer reports directly to the Department Manager within the Clinical Diagnostic Unit. The Clinical Diagnostic Unit completes diagnostic testing as an outpatient service as well as servicing the inpatients with GV Health Graham Street.
The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for independently completing high quality inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms and interim reports as well as working collaboratively with the Cardiologist in completing Stress Echocardiograms.
The successful candidate will have:
* Completion of an accredited Cardiac Ultrasound qualification • Current registration with Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry
* A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in both Echocardiogram and Stress Echocardiogram
* Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to liaise with hospital personnel, private referrers, contracted agencies, clients and family members
* Demonstrated autonomy and a high standard of clinical reasoning skills in the performance of echocardiography procedures
