Contract: 3 months
Pay: $51.26/hour + super
Location: Werribee
Role Overview:
Assist in statutory financial reporting functions and contribute to the operational success of the business unit, supporting senior staff and management through effective performance of responsibilities. A background in fixed assets accounting is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete the organisation's statutory financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
2. Manage financial and accounting responsibilities, including financial modelling and cash flow management.
3. Deliver high-level service to internal and external stakeholders.
4. Provide financial advice and training to other organisation business units.
5. Contribute to operational success of the department and organisation.
6. Implement and maintain sound risk management practices.
Requirements:
1. Oracle experience.
2. Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Council policies.
3. Understanding of applicable taxation and financial legislation.
4. Strong financial modelling and cash flow management skills.
5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Role involves providing advice on finance and accounting policies and is responsible for creating a risk-aware environment within the team.
