About the Business - Agricultural Sector – Administration/Sales/Marketing SupportEnergreen Nutrition is a 100% owned Australian company looking for a dynamic CFO to head up the company's regenerative farming and renewable energy activities that focus on being an innovative leader in the transition from a fossil fuel economy to a renewable energy economy.The company's regenerative farming activities are tasked with reducing harmful chemicals from our farm and food production systems.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management & Reporting:Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure timely, accurate reporting of financial performance to management.Prepare consolidated financial reports for the entire business, including agricultural and wholesale operations.Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and debt levels to ensure liquidity.Budgeting & Forecasting:Develop, manage, and monitor the company’s annual budget.Provide financial forecasts to assist with strategic decision-making.Review and analyze financial results to provide recommendations for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.Cost Control & Analysis:Analyze production costs, inventory levels, and operational expenses in the agriculture and wholesale sectors.Work closely with operational managers to control and reduce costs.Implement and monitor cost-accounting systems for agriculture production, storage, and distribution.Compliance & Audit:Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.Coordinate external audits and implement audit recommendations.Manage tax filings, and stay up to date on agricultural and wholesale industry-specific tax policies.Financial Strategy & Advisory:Provide financial insights to the executive team to inform strategic decisions.Evaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and capital projects.Support expansion plans, including financing and capital structuring for new agricultural projects or wholesale ventures.Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:Manage working capital requirements, ensuring optimal inventory levels and credit control.Forecast cash flow requirements and develop strategies to improve cash conversion cycles.Negotiate credit facilities with suppliers, customers, and financial institutions.Team Leadership & Development:Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring a high level of competence and motivation.Coordinate with department heads to ensure alignment between financial and operational objectives.Develop and implement training programs for staff on financial controls, policies, and systems.Systems & Process Improvement:Optimize and automate financial reporting and accounting systems.Implement best practices for accounting and financial controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management, pricing, and sales reporting.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CFA required).• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management or controllership, preferably in agriculture, wholesale, or a similar industry.Key Strength Requirements:• Listing company compliance experience (ASX or NYSE or NASDAQ).• Attention to detail, able to deliver quality work in restricted time and resources.• Valuable experience in developing the economic model for PE acquisition business or Government fund grant process.• Knowledge of accounting standards and disclosure and successfully designing and implementing ERP system migration.• Experience in cash flow management and projection, particularly running the company’s treasury function.
