The team at Acumen Health focus on recovery and function to get clients back to work and back to life whatever their age, stage, or situation. Our personal injury division provides services through federal and state-based Workers Compensations, Motor Accident Schemes and Life Insurance.
Working as an Employment Consultant, enjoy a three day working week (full time option available). You will be responsible for securing new employer placements for candidates returning to work after injury or illness. You will use your understanding of the current labour market and strong networking skills to develop ongoing relationships with local businesses and market candidates to current and potential customers.
In this role, you will
1. Work closely with candidates and host employers to build and develop trusting relationships
2. Identify vocational goals and barriers in finding candidates sustainable ongoing employment
3. Coach candidates through potential job opportunities by providing support with resume writing, presentation and interview techniques
4. Develop and grow a network of potential employers by attending networking events and employer forums
5. Collaborate with Rehabilitation Consultants to ensure a smooth and supportive return to work journey for candidates
6. Gather information and maintain accurate records relating the each case
7. Work towards and exceeding candidate and placement KPIs.

What will make you successful:
8. Previous experience in occupational rehabilitation, employment placement, labour market or a recruitment environment
9. Excellent communication and customer service skills with a passion to help people
10. Resilience, self-motivation and the ability to work and thrive within a KPI environment
11. The ability to work effectively in a team environment
12. Qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable but not essential.
