We are a leading Australian-owned company specializing in high-quality injection moulding technology and seeking a talented Electrical Automation Technician to support our expanding operations.With over 50 years of excellence in plastic injection moulding, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored solutions across various industries, including medical, food packaging, industrial, childcare, and automotive sectors.As the Electrical Automation Technician, you will:Troubleshoot, maintain and repair various electro-mechanical equipment, including PLCs, sensors, servos, and automated systems.Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.Contribute to in-house machinery design, development, and maintenance, such as our proprietary stacking modules.Interpret and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings.Engage in electrical and mechanical tasks, demonstrating versatility in troubleshooting and maintenance.To excel in this role, you should have:Qualifications as an electrician and additional electrical engineering or automation technology credentials are advantageous.Proficiency in programming, operating, and troubleshooting PLCs (experience with Omron PLCs is beneficial).A solid understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.The ability to diagnose and resolve issues with proximity sensors, vacuum switches, and other industrial components.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Industry Background: While experience in injection moulding is advantageous, we value transferable skills from related industries.What We OfferCompensation: Competitive hourly rates starting at AUD $60-70, commensurate with the technical expertise required for this role.Hours: Day-shift position with minimal overtime.Growth Opportunities: As we continue to expand, this role offers the potential to play a pivotal part in building a larger maintenance and automation team.Innovative Environment: Collaborate with experts and contribute to in-house projects, bringing new ideas to fruition.Why Join?We are not just manufacturers—we are innovators.
