The opportunity
Teva Pharmaceuticals is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director of Corporate Communications for the APAC region, focusing on our priority markets in Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing Teva's corporate reputation among key stakeholders, including media, investors, employees, and the broader community.
The successful candidate will ensure a positive public image that promotes Teva's mission and values. This role will involve significant regional collaboration and participation in the International Markets Corporate Affairs team to learn and share best practices.
This role will report to the Director of Government & Corporate Affairs APAC & Regulatory Affairs ANZ, who is based in Sydney, with a matrix report to the Senior Director, Corporate Affairs, International Markets.
How you’ll spend your day
1. Media Relations: Draft and distribute press releases and other materials, organise interviews and press conferences, handle media inquiries, and build strong relationships with key media outlets.
2. Corporate Communications: Develop and execute communications strategies to enhance Teva's reputation and brand awareness in the APAC & ANZ region. Manage content for internal and external communication channels.
3. Crisis Communication: Lead crisis communication plans, provide strategic counsel, and manage communications to the media and public.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership to craft and deliver key messages to stakeholders, including investors, employees, and the public. Coordinate with global internal teams to align regional strategies with Teva's overall corporate communications objectives.
5. Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of media coverage and public perception, as well as communication activities and outcomes.
6. Training: Provide media training to the APAC leadership team.
Your experience and qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations with a focus on the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and / or tech industry.
3. Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications strategies and campaigns.
4. Strong media relations skills and experience managing relationships with media outlets.
5. Experience in crisis communication and issues management.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
8. Knowledge of the APAC & ANZ media landscape and cultural nuances.
